Pre-Law Program
Are you an undergraduate/college student with goals of attending law school and becoming a lawyer?
If so, then our Pre-Law Mentorship Program is for you!
- Establishes a mentor-mentee relationship between law students and post secondary students (university/college students) nationwide.
- Through virtual 1-on-1 meetings, students are given an opportunity to network with 1L, 2L, or 3L students and learn:
- Study habits
- Tips on improving GPA
- How to prepare for the LSAT
- Effective time management strategies
- Advice on how to write personal statements
- Balancing of an academic workload with social and economic obligations
Eligibility:
Anyone interested in pursuing a career in law (Canada, U.S. and England applicants only).
1L Program
Are you an incoming 1st year law student and are looking to network with an upper year law student from your law school?
If so, then our 1L program is for you!
- Newly admitted law students can be paired with a 2L or 3L student from their law school.
- They can receive guidance and advice that they will need in preparation for the academic year.
Eligibility:
Must be admitted to an accredited Canadian, British, or American law school and be a Law Student Mentor at Legally Bright Inc. Click the link below for details!
Network with Lawyers
Are you interested in pursuing a legal career? Do you have questions about the law in practice? Do you know if a legal career is right for you?
- Free networking and Q & A virtual sessions (1 hour) in which lawyers attend as guest speakers and share their educational background, work experience and accomplishments in the field.
- The goal is to connect young legal enthusiasts with professionals in the field and give them a concrete idea of what legal education and practice entail.
- This program is also a great opportunity for lawyers to expand their network while helping nurture a supportive, caring and passionate legal community.
- Lawyers provide career-related information such as:
- Advice on securing summer jobs
- Tips on articling positions
- What it is like to enter the legal market as a new lawyer
