What is the Process and What to Expect
Step 1 – Get paired with a Legally Bright Admissions Consultant
You will be paired with one of Legally Bright’s Admissions Consultants within 1 week of your purchase or sooner. They will reach out via email to schedule a consultation, either virtually through Zoom or MS Teams, or in-person based on your preference and their availability. You may use the session to discuss your law school application(s), personal statement(s), and/or optional essay(s) with the Admissions Consultant. The length of the session will depend on the purchased Admissions Consulting and Editing package. You may use up the entire allocated time period for the session in one setting or complete it over several meetings.
Step 2 – Consultation, brainstorming, or outlining
During the session, your Admissions Consultant will craft a personalized approach and strategy for your personal statement(s), law school application(s), and/or optional essay(s). They will offer insights on addressing various application questions, provide valuable tips, and assist in structuring your responses.
Step 3 – Submit the first draft for editing and review
Following the meeting, you will be given ample time to draft your personal statement(s), law school application(s), and/or optional essay(s). Once your initial drafts are ready, you will submit them to your assigned Admissions Consultant for the first round of editing and review. The depth of editing and review will be tailored to the quality of your initial drafts. You may require all or some of the services outlined below (see Editing and Review) to meet your document’s specific needs.
Step 4 – Review and revise
After the first round of editing and review, you will have the opportunity to revise your materials based on the feedback, editing, and review provided.
Step 5 – Additional rounds of editing and review
Depending on the purchased Admissions Consulting and Editing package, you may opt for additional rounds of editing and review to ensure your application materials are polished to perfection.

Theme Development
We will work together to identify and develop a theme that highlights your unique strengths, experiences, and aspirations. Whether it’s your commitment to justice, passion for advocacy, or dedication to a particular area of law, we will ensure that your application presents a cohesive and impactful story.
Content Editing
We will review every aspect of your law school application, personal statement, and/or optional essay. We will provide comprehensive feedback and suggestions to enhance clarity, coherence, and persuasiveness. From refining your arguments to fine-tuning your language, we will help you articulate your ideas effectively and leave a lasting impression on admissions committees.
Proofreading
We will ensure that your law school application, personal statement, and/or optional essay is free from grammatical errors, typos, and inconsistencies. We will scan every word to guarantee polished and professional final drafts that showcase your professionalism and attention to quality.
Structural Editing
We will focus on improving the flow, coherence, and logical progression of your law school application, personal statement, and/or optional essay. We will restructure paragraphs, reorganize sections, and suggest revisions to ensure that your application presents a clear and compelling argument for your candidacy.
Final Polishing
We will conduct a comprehensive review of your entire application package to ensure consistency, coherence, and professionalism. We will fine-tune every aspect, from formatting to phrasing, to ensure that your application is polished to perfection and ready to impress admissions committees.
Recommendation
To benefit most from our Admissions Consulting and Editing services, we recommend meeting with your assigned Legally Bright Admissions Consultant and providing your law school application(s) or personal statement(s) at least 2 weeks prior to the law school application deadlines. This allows us sufficient time to provide thorough assistance and ensure the highest quality outcome for your application materials.
